As alluded to in the other post, this is the other patch I'm doing for the Viper Mk II profile. It's the Vigilantes squadron badge, worn by all the pilots of that squadron. The font isn't exactly right (except for the 3), but I think it fits the space a lot better then what's on the real one.

EDIT: Added a variant layering that the patches had versus the large wall ornaments.

Looks like you used the same font I did. Something I didn't notice until now was the fact that the wall ornament prop was missing a star on the right, and that's the version I based mine from. The patch has that missing star, like you do. Also, the wall ornament has the tail of the Viper over the red line, while the patch has it behind.

Variations on a theme, I guess. :D

I thought the font worked pretty well. Biggest thing was that it still had the G without a crossbar. The original had very odd and not really attractive spacing too.

I noticed the missing star! I based mine on the wall ornament too, but I couldn't stop noticing that empty space and went back in and added the star. I think the other difference between the patch and the wall ornament is the black (or blue) border around the nameplate. On the patch the entire nameplate including that outer edge is on top. That's why the Viper tail doesn't go over the line. In the wall ornament the blue/black outline is layered on the back with the rest of the patch and the Viper is layered on top of the nameplate and overlaps it.
